Today, I’ll keep it light. It’s Saturday, and I want you all to enjoy your weekend to its fullest. I’ll leave you with this fun little fact I learned this week…
When buffalo sense a storm coming in the distance, they run. Towards the storm. Millions of years of evolution have produced this instinct.
Why, you ask?
Because they intuitively know that this is the quickest way out. By running straight through the storm, they have to endure it the least amount of time.
Think about it - if they ran away from the storm, it would inevitably catch up with them, and they would be in it for much longer as they traveled in the same direction.
It makes too much sense.
This is literally an instinctive process in buffalo, and I can’t help but believe its in us, too. Think about the storms in your life, especially those on the horizon that haven’t quite hit yet.
What are you going to do? Run away as long as possible until they catch up to you, or run straight at them with everything you have.
I’ll quote Mr. Robert Frost once again:
The best way out is always through.
