Introduction
This is not a book about conspiracy theories. It’s not about some secret cabal that runs the world in the shadows. It’s not about telling you how to live your life in any specific way or convincing you of anything. It’s a book about observations - the observations of a single man. A flawed man, a biased man, a hu-man.
I don’t want you to believe anything I say in these pages. Don’t take my word for it - do your own research, follow your own rabbit holes, live your own life. At the end of the day, only you know what is true for you; however, I do want to make you think. I want to make you question. I want to make you pause, if only for a moment.
What if I told you that almost everything (and I mean everything) you’ve ever been told is a lie? I don’t mean a lie like a cheating husband tells his wife after “getting drinks with a friend from the gym.” I’m not talking about lies born from malice (although Alex Jones will tell you otherwise, I don’t believe that the world narrative is controlled by space lizards trying to drink your blood to gain eternal life). I’m talking about lies born from humanity. From being flawed beings. Pretty much every religion or spiritual tradition has some iteration of “The Fall” of man - this idea that man is, simply put, not God (a.k.a. not perfect). For as long as we could speak and write, we’ve known we are a species riddled with imperfection. It turns out that’s the whole point, but we’ll get to that in the later chapters of this book.
