I’ve been thinking about potentially shifting to more long-form writing, and recently I came across an article entitled, “10 Reasons Why I’m Publishing My Next Book On Substack” by The Honest Broker. He brought up a ton of good reasons why he’s publishing on Substack, and from that I had a not-so-novel thought. What if I did the same? I could release one chapter a week in a similar format to my daily articles, except this specific edition will just pick up where last week’s edition ended. I’m the type of person that if I like something I’m going to go after it, so this is exactly what I’m going to do.
Moving forward, the Sunday Edition will be available to paid subscribers only. Free subscribers will still have access to articles Monday through Saturday, just not Sunday. I will release a chapter a week for the foreseeable future, until I feel the message is delivered in the way I intend. Once the book is complete, I’m going to publish it in both written and audiobook format on Apple Books. That will be the first of what I hope to be many.
I don’t expect this will be the best book you’ve ever read (it will be the first book I ever write, so cut me some slack), but I do hope it will get you thinking about things in a different way and maybe relieve some of the constant pressure you put on yourself. It will be titled “Everything Is Wrong (And Why That’s Right)”. Don’t worry, it’s not a doomsday prophesy. It’s not a CNN or Fox News piece. It’s an honest account of the nature of humanity and the lies we tell ourselves and each other, and why at the end of the day it’s all exactly as it should be. It should provide you with a sense of hope in both the future and the way things have played out so far - that is, of course, if I do it right!
Below is the title page and table of contents - take a look and see if anything strikes your fancy. The cool part is that this may not be the what the book looks like when it’s finished (depending on feedback and inspiration, the chapters could change as we go). If it’s something you might be interested in, upgrade to a paid subscription (only 5 bucks a month!) and let’s see what happens…
